The Linux Kernel Archive Mirror System is set up so that for each two-letter country code from the list below, you can simply use the host names www.country.kernel.org or ftp.country.kernel.org to reach a mirror supporting that specific country. Each mirror will have a full archive of /pub/linux and /pub/software, although they may not carry both the gzip and bzip2 compression formats.
A great many thanks to the operators of the mirror sites. We greatly appreciate your help. If you want to add a mirror site to the Linux Kernel Archives Mirror System, please see this page.
If you find a mirror that is no longer operating or is out of date, please send its IP number (e.g. 192.0.2.1) to ftpadmin@kernel.org. Please also specify what the problem is, and if you were accessing it via HTTP or FTP. We either need the IP number or the .lkams.kernel.org address used in the lists of sites (click on a country) in order to identify the failing site, since most of the standard names are ambiguous and/or change with time.
The Linux Kernel Archives Mirror System currently consists of 84 sites in 37 countries or territories. An additional 48 countries or territories are supported remotely. The numbers in parenthesis indicate the number of sites that serve a specific country. * indicates that local support is not available and that this country is serviced by sites elsewhere. Click on the name of a country to get a detailed list of sites serving this country.
